Heritage Hill Farm where visitors are welcomed to interact with our registered miniature donkeys. Call ahead for appointment. Lovable registered minature domkeys make great companion animals. We breed our donkeys so that the foals are born in the spring or early summer. The foals can be sold at five months of age. It is recommended that donkeys be sold in pairs or paired with another donkey. Donkeys may act shy at first, but then become inquistive and attention seekers.

Founded in 1964, the Ledyard Historical Society seeks to preserve and protect the history of Ledyard and Gales Ferry, Connecticut, to educate and promote pride in our town’s cultural heritage. The Ledyard Historical Society meets four times per year, usually in March, May, October and December, with lectures and presentations. Annually, at our May meeting, we enjoy each other’s company in a potluck dinner. We also host special events periodically throughout the year. Be sure to check out our upcoming programs!

The historic Ledyard Up-Down Sawmill is the original water-powered sash sawmill located on the original site on Lee’s Brook in Ledyard, Connecticut. Restored to operating condition in the 1970s and now staffed by volunteers, the mill is open to the public for sawing demonstrations on Saturday afternoons in the spring and fall. There is no admission charge. The mill buildings and property are owned by the town of Ledyard, CT and administered by the Ledyard Historic District Commission. was created by and is maintained by volunteers for the purposes of education and publicizing the Ledyard Up-Down sawmill and historic sawmill technology; this website is neither endorsed by nor officially affiliated with the town of Ledyard, Connecticut.

18th century farmhouse owned by the Town of Ledyard. Original outbuildings and farm museum with over 100 acres including hiking trails. The house is open Memorial Day-Labor Day on Tuesday & Thursday from 2-4 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 1-4:30 pm and by appointment. The grounds are open year round.
