Disturbance at Ledyard High School
On October 8, 2009, at 0744 hours, the Ledyard Police Department received a 911 call from the Ledyard High School regarding a possible disturbance. The Ledyard Police Department, along with the Resident State Trooper, responded.

The subsequent investigation revealed that Geraldine Sebastian, age 51, of 5664 Savannah River Road, Atlanta, Georgia, arrived unannounced and entered the school without checking in at the office. She subsequently encountered a 13-year-old female student, who is a relative, in the hallway. She allegedly attempted to convince the student to accompany her out of the school. When the student refused, she allegedly attempted to grab hold of the student. Ledyard High School staff members and another student intervened. Staff directed the office to call 911. No one was injured in this incident.

Ledyard Police charged Geraldine Sebastian with risk of injury to a child, criminal trespass in the 2nd degree and breach of peace. She was presented in court at GA 10 New London.
