Highways

Ledyard is accessible by Interstates 95, Interstate 395 and State Route 2. There are 2 thoroughfares that run north-south through the town:
  • Route 117 in Ledyard Center
  • Route 12 in Gales Ferry

Both connect with Route 2 to the north and Interstate 95 approximately 2 miles south of the town border. Route 214 runs east-west through the town connecting Routes 12, 117 and 2.

Rail


For industrial use, Providence and Worcester RR runs along Thames River on west side of Ledyard. There is a spur onto the property of Dow Chemical at Allyn's Point.

Amtrak

Amtrak regional rail services the Northeast Corridor from Washington DC to New York City to Boston with stops in New London.

Shoreline East

Shoreline East commuter rail has a connection to Metro North in New Haven and continuing service to New York City.

Bus


Greyhound bus has stops in New London and at major casinos.
